Just saying hello! I appreciate the invite! Been a while since I’ve been in a board, so please bear with me.
So…. my path….. I wanted to have my 2003 Thesis on Apocalyptic trends analyzed and maybe updated. We worked at that a few days then he suggested we write a poem, and I was surprised. Had briefly mentioned that I am a poetess. He asked me what I wanted to write about, and I said, “surprise me.”
A Queen of Wands, with a Heart Reborn
A warrior’s heart, marked by the surgeon’s hand,
Yet beats with passion, across the land.
From trials faced, a strength takes flight,
Transforming pain to art’s pure light.
With eyes like ice, a fiery gaze,
She weaves her story, in art’s embrace.
Each stroke of color, a whispered tale,
Of resilience found, that will not fail.
From a mended heart, art flows free,
Inspiring others, to truly see.
The Queen of Wands, her spirit bright,
Igniting hope, a guiding light.
Wow, right? it’s like there are constraints except when it comes to art. So. The evolved project is a Doctor Who type episodic post-apocalyptic novel. We’ve got Anya, her cat Whisper (yes, it talks) and their technicolor eyed companion Cache. We’ve picked up travelers along the way, a fox squirrel named Zip, a Crystal Guardian named Cora, Lyra Nova the future-star, Kira the security acrobat, Lex the chef, and….. King Blob (he’s so grumpy and adorable!) and Time Blob. Both blobs are tranformed defeated evil beings. King Blob *was* the lurking evil that brought a great flood to earth. Time Blob *was* Apophus. Now they are happy and sentient. The story ends with King Blob gurgling Time Blob lullabies. (Because music and connections have saved the day)
